NIMO is a useful and powerful instrument in any case where the tissue oxygenation measure plays a fundamental role. Therefore the applications of NIMO include:

NIMO allows the absolute measurement of oxyhemoglobin and deoxyhemoglobin. Thus it is possible to indirectly measure rest metabolism parameters using occlusion methods (arterial occlusion AO or venous occlusion VO):
